Salome
SALOME
Haruka from Toyama
Our company was established in 2014. The company concept is Japanese sentimentality. Melancholic farewells are a constant in young people's daily lives. Our play is composed of five to ten minute short scenes joined together, not in sequential order. Our work frequently explores binding performers and placing absurd levels of physical burdens on their bodies. Our performances are praised for artistic design that emphasizes space and shadow. We specialize in performing nonsensical comedy. In this piece, we take the essence of the farewell scene from Salome and use it to create a new work. Japanese culture is a major influence on this unique adaptation of Salome, created by a group of young artists and performers.
